She knew exactly what she didn't want anymore. The little girl room had run its course, and this high school freshman was ready for something that actually felt like her — green, layered, alive, and peaceful all at once.
Most of this project happened virtually, with mood boards and sourcing lists traveling between Charlotte and Minneapolis long before I did. We talked through what she loved, what she was done with, and what kind of room she wanted to wake up in every morning. The vision came together quickly — botanicals and greens as the anchor, with textures and pieces that felt grown-up without taking themselves too seriously.
Then I flew in for a weekend and put it all together. There's something special about that final day — watching a space go from a collection of pieces to a room that actually breathes. She got her greens, her fun, and her peaceful vibes. And a room she's genuinely proud to be in.
