You've got the crib picked out, maybe. A vague sense of the colors. Fourteen tabs open and a Pinterest board that's started to contradict itself. And a due date that's closer than it was last week.

The Nursery Story is an invitation, not a giveaway.
We're selecting one Charlotte family and designing their nursery — a complete, custom concept built entirely around their space, their style, and their story. Not a template. Not a theme we've already decided on. Yours.
Whatever you want that room to feel like, that's what we'll design.
What the selected family receives
A 30-minute discovery call — we talk through your space, your style, your budget, and what you actually need.
One custom-rendered visual of your nursery — a complete concept showing exactly how the room will look and feel when it comes together.
A shoppable product list — every piece sourced, with direct purchase links, so you can buy on your own timeline.
Paint colors with names and brands — the exact shades for walls, trim, and accents.
A layout sketch — furniture placement and traffic flow for your real room dimensions.
Two rounds of revisions — because the first vision is rarely the final one.
A $425 value, designed entirely around your family.
Who this is for
Expecting parents in the Charlotte metro who want a real plan before the baby arrives — and who'd rather spend the next few months getting ready than getting overwhelmed.
You don't need a big budget. You don't need to know what you want. You just need a room and a story.
How it works
You apply. Tell us about your space, your style, and your story. It takes about ten minutes.
We select. One family, chosen at our discretion based on fit — not chance. We're looking for a space and a story we can tell well.
We design. Your discovery call, your concept, your revisions. Start to finish.
You build it. On your own timeline, at your own pace, with everything you need in hand.

The Nursery Story — Entry Terms
By submitting an application, you agree that VanDeLoo Designs LLC may use the photos, room details, and design concepts created through this project for marketing purposes, including on our website, social media, and portfolio. Applicants must be located in the Charlotte, NC metro area. Applications close August 9, 2026. One applicant will be selected at VanDeLoo's discretion to receive one complimentary nursery concept (a Design Vision deliverable with two rounds of revisions, valued at $425). This is a design concept, not a furnishing or installation service. Selection is based on fit, not chance. All submitted materials become part of VanDeLoo's creative library. Applicants may be contacted about other VanDeLoo services. No purchase necessary.
